blueDot - Environmental footprints of nations: national performances and global priorities

Project description

The objective of the project is to calculate the environmental footprints of nations based on a methodology developed by the project team as part of a previous study for the Swiss Federal Office for the environment (December 2013 - June 2014). This methodology operationalizes the approach called 'Planetary Boundaries' originally published by Rockström et al. in Nature in 2009. The results will be published on a website and a scientific article will be published on this subject of importance in the political and academic domains.
