This event is part of the end-meetings for the AFROMAISON project "Africa at
meso-scale: Adaptive and integrated tools and strategies on natural resources
management" which was funded by the 7th Framework Program of the European Union and in which GRID-Geneva participates.
AFROMAISON aimed to propose concrete strategies for integrated natural resources
management in Africa in order to adapt to the consequences of climate change.
AFROMAISON elaborated sustainable solutions for communities and authorities in
their operational management and strategic policy of natural (water) resources,
and help them in their fight against climate change. The consoritum consists of
Antea (Belgium), ICRAF (Kenya), INR (South Africa), OSS (Tunisia), IHE
(Netherlands), PIK (Germany), WI (Netherlands), IWMI (Sri Lanka), UniGe/GRID
(Switzerland), 2IE (Burkina Faso), CIRAD (France), UKZN (South Africa), A&W
(Netherlands), MMU (Uganda), UA (Belgium), CEMAGREF/IRD (France, InterSus
(Germany) .
In the morning, training workshops are organised by the AFROMAISON consortium,
whereas in the afternoon, oral presentations are scheduled based on abstract
submissions (open call). Registrations and submission of abstract for oral
