Changes in glaciers mass

The World Glacier Monitoring Service (WGMS) is compiling annual mass balances of 'reference' glaciers with more than 30 continued observation years. UN Environment/GRID-Geneva is now linking to WGMS data to produce an automatically updated graphs showing trends on global glacier mass balance. The 2015 data are only partially completed, however continuous climate change and El Niño may lead to a record in mass loss (to be confirmed by end of 2016). The graph is also available through UNEP-Live.
