Carbon footprint calculator platform for Geneva
Description
Using the open source calculator "Nos Gestes Climat", GRID-Geneva worked in coordination with the Geneva Canton, the city of Geneva and the Nosgestesclimat.fr to create a Geneva profile and host the application on the address https://geneve.nosgestesclimat.ch. This individual calculator allows to better understand the impacts of our actions in various domains (transport, food, heating, electricity, shoping). Once the result given, a dedicated personalized action section propose actions that could be done to lower the user carbon footprint.
The various texts and descriptions as well as the default values and emission factors were tailored to the Geneva specific cases. The project aimed to support the partners to developed this specific profile and act as technical intermediate with nosgestesclimat.fr.
