Description
Here is a magnificent tropical forest. And there is what remains. In 25 years, a luxuriant
landscape has gradually withered away, mainly on the Mexican side of the border where
the deforestation is unmistakeable, as if the land had been shaved. However, this is
the region of Chiapas, a poverty-stricken area in the south of Mexico where, to survive,
people have to clear land for agriculture.
