UNEP/GRID-Geneva is collaborating with UNEP/PCDMB and the World Bank on the MAP-X (Mapping and Assessing the Performance of Extractive Industries) project: "The next transparency revolution in the extractive sector".

Using an Open Data framework, UNEP/GRID-Geneva is generating a state of the art interactive platform for sharing maps, information and knowledge on extractive industry in vulnerable states.
